The Western Wall uses a part of the gable roof of a rural farm building from the beginning of the 20th century from the region of Ružomberok. It is the place where the author comes from and which is connected to his childhood memories.

The title is related to mountaineering, which is one of the author's characteristic themes – it refers to every climber's dream of ascending the Western Wall, perceived as a difficult and commendable achievement.

The work also evokes nostalgia for the traditional, the lost or the archaic, and in a way it functions as a museum artefact.
