What is web umenia?

Web umenia is an on-line catalog of artworks from the collections of Slovak galleries registered in the Central Register of Artworks.

Here you can find information about artworks and artists as well as articles and thematic collections. Artworks information and digital images are pulled from the CEDVU system (Central Register of Artworks), where they are inserted and regularly updated by the curators.

Download artworks in Public Domain

  • §Digital reproductions of public domain arwtorks from several gallery collections are available for download in high resolution for both personal and commercial use - i.e. copy, modify and share freely.
  • §When sharing, please include the artist name, artwork title, owner and the source (webumenia.sk)
  • §If you intend to use the reproductions for commercial purpose, please inform us in advance, we can offer advice.

Reuse artworks in Public Domain, e.g.:

  • printed posters, postcards, flyers, apparel, etc.
  • creative reuse like remixes, collages or animations
  • educational materials including books, websites and presentations

Order high quality prints

We offer printed reproductions of selected artworks from the collections of the Slovak National Gallery on fine art paper.

For specific purposes – research, educational, commercial – we also provide digital reproductions with respect to copyright status of the artworks.

You can create an order by clicking the order reproduction button on the artwork detail page. After placing the order, you will recieve an e-mail with more detailed information.

We publish artworks from
the collections of slovak galleries and museums.

If you wish to sumbit an artwork to be published, it has to be included in a collection of a registered institution. We do not publish artworks from private property or from other sources at this time.

We are open to other forms of cooperation.

If you wish to provide more information about an artwork or an artist (biographical information, photograph for artist profile), correct some mistake or offer research material.
