"Do not land on the last planet. You will find nothing. I was seeking fire, the hidden fire without a face. But I have only found the knowledge of nothing."

The New Horizons spacecraft launched from Earth in 2006 with plans to fly in July 2015 near Pluto, which has since lost its official status as a planet. At the same time as the flyby of Pluto, Cséfalvay's video installation and dissertation premiered, presenting an alternative interpretation of the probe's possible findings.

The author creates a science fiction story about the problem of infinite scientific and technological growth. In his vision, Pluto represents a gravitational projector, projecting a false image of a non-existent surrounding universe. At the same time, it contains a gateway to hell – symbolically identified with Pluto, the mythological ruler of the underworld.

The video stages a clash of philosophies and worldviews in the heavy tension of the arrival of the unknown. Man's confident notion of a rational grasp of the cosmos can easily become his undoing.
