The installation was created in an effort to create a musical instrument that a person can work with regardless of age or knowledge. Jamky emphasize simple and free play, breaking down the boundaries between the system and the audience.

The physical touch with wood and river pebbles determining the rhythm disrupts the usual idea about the impersonal and cold nature of digital technologies. Jamky thus also represent a kind of post-digital artifact.
