The patiently twisted threads hold the time in their grasp. Long hours of weaving in quiet focused thought, slowly receding into the past like memories from an old photograph. The tapestry looks as if it is still being created - as if the work on it never ends.

The portrait of the artist in her everyday clothes and slippers has only fleeting features thanks to the rough carpet material. However, capturing the work and its results is perhaps more important than the details of the body or face.
