As the winner of the competition, in 1977 Brunovský designed a set of Czechoslovak banknotes with denominations of one thousand, ten, twenty, fifty and one hundred crowns. They entered into circulation successively between 1985 and 1989.

If we were to calculate their value in today's terms, we would probably not buy much for them, but their artistic value was also confirmed by the international award of the Most Beautiful Banknote of the World, which he received for his designs in 1989.

In addition to typical elements such as the likenesses of important personalities, the designs also contain references to nature, light or a kind of radiance, which each holder of the banknote seems to interpret in his or her own way.
