Eyes only to cry...Mary Magdalene is one of the most popular saints. She was one of the most faithful followers of Christ to Golgotha, attended the burial and, after Jesus' resurrection, was the first to find the tomb empty. Yet she felt she had to repent of her sinful life in the solitude of the wilderness. 

Her despair and the tears streaming from her eyes onto her contorted face were captured by a German author unknown to us in the early 17th century.
